The Senior Operations Manager, Innovation & Business Planning plays a critical role in driving executional excellence, planning cadence, and project governance within the US Commercial Oncology Business Unit (US OBU). Reporting to the Director, Business Planning & Delivery, this role ensures the timely execution of planning processes, facilitates the update cycle for key performance metrics and initiatives, and helps operationalize business priorities across franchises and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute end to end processes for quarterly and annual business planning cycles, maintaining US OBU Scorecard and US Maximization / innovation initiatives portfolio tracker.
- Drive excellence in division-level project management for US OBU, ensuring leadership team visibility to status, blockers, critical interdependencies, and impact achieved for key initiatives.
- Co-create and refine processes for US OBU Scorecard planning and updates, initiatives tracking / value assurance, and division-level calendar entries and updates.
- Implement and optimize tools and templates as needed to simplify data collection, reporting, and progress tracking.
- Keep integrated OBU calendar up to date.
- Support change management, onboarding, and operational frameworks for business planning initiatives and processes as needed.
- Liaise with stakeholders from Franchises, Business Excellence, Finance, Medical, and Market Access to ensure data flow and alignment.
- Assist in budget coordination and day-to-day operations for the Business Planning & Delivery function.
Essential Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in portfolio management, project management, or operational planning, preferably within a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting.
- Experience handling cross-functional projects of varying complexity in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Comfort working with planning and tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Familiarity with oncology and/or the US pharmaceutical market.
- Experience working in a commercial business unit or business excellence function.
